Cinnamon Streusel Muffins

Tender cinnamon muffins with a ribbon of cinnamon sugar running throughout and crunchy streusel on top, you'll be making these over and over again!

Ingredients

Whisk sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter to make the streusel topping.

Whisk together brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter to make the cinnamon sugar layer.

Whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder and soda, and salt.

Cream together softened butter and brown sugar until well combined.

Mix in milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Note: the mixture will become lumpy.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until combined.

Fill the bottom 1/3 of a lined muffin tin with muffin batter.

Divide the cinnamon brown sugar mixture evenly between them.

Top them with the rest of the muffin batter until each well is about 3/4 full.

Using a toothpick or knife, gently swirl each one to help the layers come together.

Evenly distribute the streusel on top of each muffin. Gently press down to help it stick.

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the muffins are browned and a toothpick comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes then transfer them to a wire rack.

Serve and enjoy!
