Double Chocolate Pretzel Cookies with Caramel Drizzle

Make the easy homemade salted caramel sauce. The recipe is linked in the cookie recipe .

Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cream together the butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar.

Add the eggs and mix until they are well combined.

Add in the dry ingredients and mix just until everything is combined.

Add the chocolate chips and the pretzel bits and mix until they are evenly distributed. 

Scoop dough balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes.

Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack inside a baking sheet and allow them to cool completely.

Once they are completely cool, drizzle them with caramel sauce. Allow the excess caramel to fall down into the baking sheet.

It's optional, but I like to finish each cookie with a light sprinkle of Fleur de Sel, a flaky sea salt.
