Homemade Banana Bread

Moist and flavorful with a touch of cinnamon. This homemade banana bread could not be easier to make. It's the perfect treat!

You'll want to start with bananas that are VERY ripe to get the best banana flavor in your bread.

Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with softened butter.

Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Then, mix in the applesauce, eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix just until combined. At this point you could add in walnuts, chocolate chips, or anything else you like.

Pour the batter into the greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 60 to 70 minutes. If the top gets too brown, cover with foil.

Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it to a wire rack to continue cooling.

Serve the banana bread still a bit warm with softened butter. Enjoy!
