Penne Pomodoro

Al dente penne pasta is coated in a homemade tomato and basil sauce for a quick and easy meal everyone will love.

Begin by sautéing onion and garlic in olive oil.

Add crushed San Marzano-style tomatoes to the pan.

Simmer for 15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

Meanwhile, boil the pasta according to the package directions. Reserve some of the pasta water before draining.

Turn off the heat and add the salt and fresh basil to the sauce.

Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to combine.

Pour in some of the reserved pasta water if needed.
