Combine the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Evenly distribute over chicken pieces.
Allow the chicken to brine in the seasoning for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours before grilling.
30 minutes before cooking pull the chicken from the fridge, coat in the bbq sauce, and keep on the counter.
While the chicken is resting, make the Mango Avocado Salsa by stirring all of the ingredients except the avocado in a bowl. Then, gently mix in the avocado just until it is distributed throughout the salsa.
Preheat the grill to medium-high for 10 minutes before cooking the chicken.
On the hot grill, cook the chicken for 4 minutes, flip, and cook another 4 minutes or until it is cooked through.
Serve with the Mango Avocado Salsa and extra bbq sauce.
